Day trip - Kirchberg am Wagram

If you are looking for a nice day trip during beautiful indian summer, here is my tip. Kirchberg am Wagram is not that far from Bratislava (140 km). It is a nice austrian village, with lot of wine makers, which might be great during this period of the year. And there is this wonderful restaurant called Gut Oberstockstall. I was in Kirchberg for a location scouting in the spring, and then for a wedding with a party in this restaurant. This place is a gem and definitely worth the visit, especially in the summer when you can sit outside and enjoy the location. Unfortunately the day of the wedding was the rainiest day I ever experienced for my shootings, and we literally could not step outside, so these pictures are just from the scouting in the spring. All the pictures are from the restaurant´s yard.

Ak máte chuť na krátky jednodňový výlet, tu je tip odo mňa. Kirchberg am Wagram nie je až tak ďaleko od Bratislavy (asi 140 km). Táto rakúska dedinka je plná vinárov, čo ju momentálne robí ideálnym miestom pre vínachtivých výletníkov. A je tam skvelá reštaurácia Gut Oberstocktall. Ja som tam bola v rámci hľadania lokácií na svadobné fotenie, a potom aj samotná svadobná hostina sa konala tam. Určite to stojí za návštevu, špeciálne v lete, keď môžete sedieť vonku a kochať sa okolím reštaurácie. Bohužiaľ tá svadba sa konala snáď v najupršanejší deň tohto roku, nikdy som také zlé počasie na fotenie nemala. Doslova sa nedalo vyjsť von, takže tieto fotky sú z toho jarného hľadania. Všetky sú z okolia reštaurácie, ale samotná dedinka je tiež pekná.

Brugges - part II.

Here are more pictures from Brugges. The fact is I really planned to write some words about the places you should see there, but when I think about it, you can just walk around the whole day or two and you will still enjoy Brugges even without knowing the facts :-).
And, meanwhile I came back from a holiday in a completely different world, so to be honest it is hard for me to recall all the places in Brugges. I hope you forgive me this time. In my next post, I promise to take you to a very hot country! Stay tuned!

Tak nech sa páči ďaľšie fotky z Brúg. Fakt je, že pôvodne som mala v pláne napísať aj pár slov o miestach, ktoré by ste v Brugách nemali vynechať. Ale keď tak nad tým rozmýšľam, budete celkom spokojní, aj keď sa len tak poprechádzate deň či dva bez akýchkoľvek znalostí :-).
Nuž a taktiež som sa medzičasom vrátila z dovolenky v úplne inom svete, takže sa úprimne len ťažko rozpamätávam na miesta v Brugách. Dúfam teda, že mi tentokrát odpustíte. V ďaľšom poste vás zoberiem do veľmi horúcej krajiny! Takže príďte zas! 

Brugges - part I.

This place is insanely beautiful. That is all I have to say. That's why I will be posting part two :-)

Toto miesto je proste nádherné. To je všetko, čo k tomu mám povedať. A preto bude aj časť druhá.

Brussels walk

In the beginning of March I visited Brussels for the first time. My friend Adrika accomodate us (me and M.) in her beautiful house, drived us from and to the airport and did everything so we would feel like at home.  We had a great time with her and her son Oskar.
It was a really short visit, but I think I had the chance to get the feeling of the town, even though I definitely did not see eerything. Here are some pictures from our walk in the city, I left our Mannen Pis and other famous sights... In the afternoon we took a walk near Adrika´s house. It is a beuatiful neighbourhood with lot of houses in art nouveau style, charming laks Etangs d´Ixelles and an old monastery Abbaye de la Cambre.

Začiatkom marca som bola po prvýkrát v Bruseli. Ubytovala nás (M. a mňa) kamarátka Adrika vo svojom nádhernom dome, odviezla na z a na letisko a robila všetko preto, aby sme sa tam cítili ako doma. Asi preto nám tam bolo tak fajn a tešili sme sa, že sme strávili zopár spoločných chvíľ s ňou a malým Oskarom.
Boli sme tam celkom na krátko, ale myslím, že som získala z mesta nejaký pocit, aj keď sme zďaleka nevideli všetko.
Tu je zopár fotiek z prechádzky po Bruseli, zámerne som vynechala klasické atrakcie ako Manneken Pis a podobne..
Poobede sme sa šli prejsť aj s Adrikou a Oskarom po okolí tam, kde bývajú. Je to krásna štvrť, kde nájdete veľa domov postavených v štýle art noveau, krásne jazerá  Etangs d´Ixelles a veľmi príjemné zákutia starého opátstva Abbaye de la Cambre. A svietilo nám slniečko, čo je v tomto období vždy tak trocha o náhode.
