DIY heartshaped collage

So this is an image that striked me long time ago. So when me and my boyfriend had a 1 year anniversary, I decided to make something similar from our photo memories of that year. I wish we also have such a white bedroom to hang it there....

I started with developing all the nice pictures of us, because as most of you, I store mine mostly in computer... Sorry for the quality, but it was late evening when I took them...

I cut out a heart shape from 2 theatre posters attached together. Then I arrange the photos on it, and started to stick them on the paper one by one. It took over me one hour...

And here is the final result. Still do not have the right spot for it. If I find it, I will show you a picture... Have a great white weekend!

Imagination

Even a simple shelf with old souvenirs can become a fantasy land when you look at it from a different perspective. Use your imagination this weekend and have fun!

1010 Project

My dears, I am crazy busy again next few days so I already know I will not be able to post anything for another week probably. I have a wedding to shoot tomorrow, and still have to finish some more projects AND finally clean the house (I am ashamed what a mess my place is).
Sunday morning my boy and I were supposed to go to High Tatras, but he just called me his boss canceled his hollidays. Oh well, maybe next time...
Anyway, I just came across a link to a very nice project, so at least I am going to share that with you.
It is called 1010 project and I found it via one of my fauvorite blogs , Cup of Jo. 10 photographers from 10 countries took 10 photographs on 10/10/10. Here is the link.

Dream factory workshops

Today I will take you back to the dream factory. We call it properly scene and prop workshops, but dream factory works better for me.

What an inspirational place! Except of the halls stuffed with great furniture, the main part are the workshops, where everything is being made from the scratch. Any kind of furniture, prop or costume. Even fake heaven.

I love the enourmous spaces, where they create anything you can think of. It can be so much fun work there, just to paint, carve, cut, build...
As it needs no more words, I just leave you here to enjoy the pictures...

Books instalations

Some of you might know Matej Kren, the artist famous in my part of world for his book instalation The passage and many more art creations with books.

I visit this instalation time to time and always find it amazing. The floor and ceiling except the stripe you are stepping on are actually mirrors, so it feels like you can fall to and endless canyon from books! Definitely worth to visit when you happen to be in Bratislava, and because it is an permanent instalation, it will probably be here for a long time.

He also has some more instalations of this kind, called Book cell and Scanner, and does "stone gardens" made from books - he makes stones from book paper, but I haven´t seen any of these yet.

But recently I came across another book instalations, reading this blog.
These are made by Alycia Martin, a spanish artist, and look like this:

That is quite amazing too. I just wonder how long this kind of art lasts in heavy rain and bad weather...

It is called Falling.
Well, it is pretty amazing what you can do with books. If you do not feel like reading any, you can try some different use for it!

Photocopy project

Yes, I admit it, summer time in theatre is boring like hell! It came so far that I tried something I was curious about for a long time. Photocopied myself (and my colleague)! I was surprised it came out so nice. It can be a pretty interesting project, so if you have time during the summer, stop by in the theatre and I photocopy you. In the fall, it can be a nice exhibition called "Photocopied friends". Have you ever tried it?
